2 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Carlos Santana (back) was removed early during Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The switch-hitter was taken out of the contest due to back tightness. The expectation is that Santana will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the issue. It's possible that Santana does end up on the injured list from this issue.
