Carlos Rodon Experiences Arm Soreness On Monday
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (arm) experienced arm soreness in his pitching arm during Monday's start against the Detroit Tigers. He was removed from the game after the third inning when he first started feeling sore. White Sox manager Tony La Russa told reporters that he was concerned after the game and said that Rodon would be examined further on Tuesday. Rodon allowed two hits, two walks and three runs (two earned) while striking out six in Monday's start. His velocity was down during the start with his last fastball clocking in at 89 mph, down from his season-long average of 95.5 mph. It sounds like the southpaw could be headed for a trip to the injured list, but we should have more clarity after he undergoes further testing on Tuesday.
