5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Carlos Martinez got the last two outs of Saturday's win, earning his 12th save of the year. Martinez faced two batters, threw six pitches, and locked down a 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Martinez has been solid but unspectacular as closer, saving 12 games and posting a 3.48 ERA.
