Carlos Jorge Stays Hot At The Plate
4 months agoCincinnati Reds outfield prospect Carlos Jorge continued to turn the corner at High-A after a slow start to the season by posting a .375/.565/.875 slash line with two home runs, five RBI, a 7:5 BB:K ratio, and two stolen bases over the past week. Jorge posted two multi-hit performances and only had one game where he did not reach base safely. Since July 9, the 20-year-old has held a strong .313/.450/.604 line, which is a significant improvement compared to the .201/.255/.377 he carried through most of the first half. Jorge is considered the seventh-best prospect in the Cincinnati system and should spend most of next summer in the upper levels of the minor leagues.
