Carlos Hyde Won't Play In Week 7
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars newly-acquired running back Carlos Hyde will not play in Week 7 against the Texans after being acquired from the Cleveland Browns on Friday. With such a short turnaround to learn the offense, Hyde will be inactive this weekend. That means that T.J. Yeldon will maintain his status as an RB2 against Houston with Leonard Fournette (hamstring) still sidelined. Hyde will have to learn the offense in a hurry in time for Week 8 against the Eagles, where he'll be a low-end RB3/flex that will likely battle for touches behind Yeldon. Hyde's fantasy value takes a big hit with this trade, and he might be droppable once Fournette returns, likely after the Week 9 bye.
