Carlos Estevez Earns Win Monday
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels closer Carlos Estevez earned his second win of the season in Monday's 2-1 game against the White Sox. Estevez came in to pitch the top of the ninth with the game tied and turned in a scoreless inning with one hit, no walks, and no strikeouts. The Angels were able to score a run in the bottom of the inning, making Estevez the pitcher of record. The 30-year-old has been a fantasy All-Star in the first half of the season, going 2-1 with 19 saves, a 1.69 ERA, an 11.25 K/9 rate, and a 4.50 BB/9 rate. He has been one of baseball's top closers so far and should continue to be a fantasy asset.
