Carlos Estevez Allows Four Runs In Loss
Carlos Estevez took the loss on Saturday when he allowed four runs on two hits with a walk across 1/3 of an inning in a 10-4 loss to the Brewers. Estevez entered in the bottom of the eighth inning with the score knotted up at 4-4 and immediately ran into trouble. He allowed the first three runners to reach with a walk, HBP, and a single before Omar Narvaez knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly. Luis Urias then singled in two runs and Estevez was removed from the game and replaced by Ben Bowden, who promptly gave up a two-run homer to Christian Yelich, which scored Urias and officially closed the book on Estevez. The rough outing raises the 28-year-old's ERA to 5.40 to go along with a 1.41 WHIP and 21 strikeouts over 23 1/3 innings. Estevez has some value in deeper mixed and NL-only leagues that count holds but he's not worth rostering outside of that.

Carlos Estevez Picks Up Save On Thursday
Carlos Estevez tossed a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 7-4 win over the Colorado Rockies in the first game of a Thursday doubleheader. Estevez did not allow a baserunner on the way to earning his sixth save in eight chances this season. The 32-year-old has been a reliable ninth-inning option in his first season with Kansas City, posting a 1-0 record, 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts over 12 innings of work.

Carlos Estevez Records Fifth Save
Carlos Estevez was asked to hold a two-run lead in the final frame against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Estevez gave up a hit, but didn't have any problems after that as he recorded three strikeouts and notched his fifth save of the season. The right-hander has done a nice job lately and has locked himself in as the primary closer in Kansas City. He already has five saves, so it looks like he's going to be busy at the back-end of the bullpen. Estevez should be rostered in most fantasy formats where saves matter.

Carlos Estevez Earns Fourth Save
Carlos Estevez has been busy on the mound early in the season. Estevez was called upon on Thursday to hold a one-run lead against the Minnesota Twins. The right-hander got himself into a jam by allowing a single and hitting Harrison Bader with a pitch. Despite that, Estevez worked around the base runners and secured his fourth save of the season. The veteran right-hander appears to be the primary closer for the Royals right now. That being said, Estevez should be rostered in most fantasy formats where saves matter.

Carlos Estevez Picks Up Second Save
Carlos Estevez was ready to redeem himself after struggling on the mound during his last outing. Estevez was called upon to hold a three-run lead against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. The 32-year-old didn't have any issues as he tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to secure his second save of the season. It appears that Estevez is going to be the primary option for saves this season. However, Lucas Erceg could be a candidate as well if Estevez finds himself in trouble at some point. For now, Estevez should be a viable option for saves in fantasy formats where that matters.
