Carlos Correa Enjoying A Solid Spring
6 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is enjoying a solid spring training, slashing .324/.375/.541 with six extra-base hits in 15 games played. Correa's is coming off the worst season of his career that was derailed by a back injury that simply never went away. Correa slugged an average of .506 through his first three seasons but that number plummeted to .405 last season. The talented shortstop's fantasy stock also has seen a nosedive, going from a first-round pick last season to the mid-rounds this season. Correa could be in line for a bounce back but fantasy owners still need to proceed with caution. Correa, to this point, has failed to show that he can stay healthy for a full season and rarely hit the ball with authority in the latter stages of the 2018 season. The later Correa can be drafted in fantasy, the more value he will possess.
