Carlos Correa, Aledmys Diaz To Begin Rehab Assignments
Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (ribs) and infielder Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) are expected to begin minor league rehab assignments next week. Diaz is a couple days ahead of Correa. Correa has struggled to stay healthy the last two years, but he's a high-end fantasy shortstop when he's on the field. His owners will hope he can pick up where he left off with his .295/.360/.547 slash line, 11 homers, 26 runs, 35 RBI and a steal in 190 at-bats. He's been out since May 26 after a bizarre injury during an in-home massage. Diaz is having a fine year as a utility man for the 'Stros, but his fantasy appeal is limited to AL-only leagues with infrequent playing time.
