Carlos Correa, Aledmys Diaz Progressing
5 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (rib) continues to run on the field and will start to simulate baseball drills in the cages in the coming days. He's set to return after the All-Star break. Infielder Aledmys Diaz (hamstring), on the injured list since May 27, took batting practice on the field on Friday for the first time in weeks. Barring a setback, Diaz should also return to the club after the break. Correa is hitting .295/.360/.547 with 11 home runs, 26 runs, 35 RBI and a steal on the year and is one of the more attractive fantasy shortstops if he can just stay on the field. Diaz has been useful in a utility role in Houston this year but will have a limited fantasy ceiling as a backup when he returns.
