Carlos Carrasco Goes Five Innings Against Dodgers
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco went five innings in the Mets 3-2 loss to the Dodgers on Friday. Carrasco allowed three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six. Although Carrasco took the loss, his performance was a step in the right direction considering he had not made it past the second inning in his two prior starts. For the season, Carrasco has posted an ugly 8.82 ERA and 1.65 WHIP (though he has 18 strikeouts) over a limited 16 1/3 innings pitched. Fantasy managers in redraft formats with room to continue to hold Carrasco should do so on the off chance he can turn things around for a stretch run in September. At this point, Carrasco really only holds value in dynasty formats. Hopefully, he can get back to form in 2022, provided he suffers no setbacks to his hamstring which kept him out for almost four months.
