The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly still poking around free-agent forward Phil Kessel. The veteran is coming off a Stanley Cup championship, the third of his career, but has gone unsigned and appeared in just four postseason games for the Golden Knights a season ago. He still managed a decent 14 goals and 36 points alongside 149 shots on goal while skating in all 82 games for Vegas last season, the 14th time in his 17-year career in which he has skated in all of his team's regular-season games. While he technically hasn't missed a regular-season contest in 13 years, his 1.064 consecutive games played streak officially ended when he went unsigned before opening night of the 2023-24 season. A veteran of 1,286 career regular-season contests, Kessel has tallied 413 goals and 992 points while also adding 34 goals and 83 points across 100 career postseason contests.--Brenton KempRead More News
