Camilo Doval Collects Save No. 22
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants reliever Camilo Doval allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one to earn the save during Saturday's 7-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 25-year-old entered Saturday's game to protect a two-run lead. He allowed a one-out walk to Ketel Marte and surrendered a single to Christian Walker, which led to the tying runs being on base. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit an RBI single to cut the Giants' lead to one. Doval struck out Pavin Smith to end the game and pick up his 22nd save of the year. The Giants right-hander has converted 22-of-24 save chances this season with a 2.02 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 49 strikeouts across 35 2/3 innings. Doval is second in the majors with 22 saves behind Emmanuel Clase (23) and Jordan Romano (23). Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Doval in all league formats.
