Camilo Doval Charged With Blown Save
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants pitcher Camilo Doval allowed an earned run on two hits while striking out one across 2/3 of an inning in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the San Diego Padres. The 25-year-old yielded a run in the eighth inning and later surrendered a two-run double to Matt Carpenter. He was charged with his first blown save of the season. Doval is 3-for-4 in save opportunities this season. The right-hander owns a 3.27 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and a 15:6 K: BB across 11 innings in 2023. Despite some concerns, Doval is the Giants' primary closer and should be rostered in all league formats.
