Cameron Young is making his maiden Masters start as the 46th-ranked player in the world. Two T2s at the Sanderson Farms Championship and The Genesis Invitational gained him most of the Official World Golf Ranking points needed to crack the top 50. Young is a monster off the tee, gaining well over a stroke per round on the field at courses that allow him to unleash accurate bombs. The other three major areas of his game can gain as many strokes as his driver, albeit much less consistently. If he continues being one of the best drivers on tour and another part of his game gets hot, he may surprise a lot of casual viewers at this year's Masters.--Byron Lindeque

Cameron Young has not enjoyed the state of Florida this month. The American golfer possesses the talent but cannot seem to get out of his own way. Young has missed four cuts and made four cuts in eight events this 2025. Worse, he looked pretty good at The Players Championship before imploding with a Saturday 81. Pundits had almost forgotten about the 82 to open the Arnold Palmer Invitational. When a golfer cannot get a ball near a green, that is a major problem. Young ranks 172nd in strokes gained on approach to the green (-0.807). If one thinks that is bad, his 48.59% driving accuracy comes in at 180th. Until Young can set up chances better, he remains a golfer to fade weekly.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Cameron Young has struggled mightily so far in the 2025 season. He has only one top-10 finish and has missed the cut three times in the six events he has played in. Adding more salt to the wound is the fact that he has not finished better than 51st at the stadium course in his three appearances. Young's iron play has failed him this year with -1.018 strokes gained on approach, ranking 176th on tour. The key to success at TPC Sawgrass is driving accuracy and short iron play, and Young has succeeded at neither this season. To put it in perspective, he ranks 168th in driving accuracy, 133rd from 125-150 yards, and 122nd from 150-175 yards. It's safe to say it's not even worth taking a flyer on Young this week; avoid him at all costs.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

Cameron Young has been the definition of boom-or-bust this season, posting finishes of T8 and T12, but also struggling with a 72nd-place finish and three missed cuts in his first six events. He now turns his attention to the Arnold Palmer Invitational, where he has competed in the past, recording results of T36, T10, and T13 over the last three years. To succeed at Bay Hill, players need to be sharp off the tee and excel with long irons, especially with forecasted winds exceeding 20 mph this weekend. Young has been solid off the tee, gaining 0.532 strokes per round (18th on tour), but has struggled with accuracy, hitting just 50.37% of fairways (168th). His approach game has also been lacking, as he loses 1.018 strokes per round, ranking 176th. Though he has been a strong putter this season, hitting greens in regulation will be crucial at Bay Hill, and Young ranks 155th on tour in this category. Given his inconsistencies this season, back-to-back missed cuts, and lack of solid approach play, fantasy managers should avoid Young at his $7,000 price tag on DraftKings this week.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller

Cameron Young has played five events this year with two top-15 finishes, two missed cuts, and a 72nd-place finish. Now he turns his focus to the Cognizant Classic, where he has had success in the past, finishing T4 in 2024 and T16 in 2022. In those performances, Young gained at least 1.880 strokes on approach, something he hasn't done since the Rocket Mortgage Classic in June of 2024. While his off-the-tee game has been solid -- ranking 41st in driving distance -- PGA National's emphasis on accuracy and approach play may expose some of Young's weaknesses. He has struggled with his approach shots this season, losing 14.837 strokes on approach. He also ranks in just the sixth percentile for greens in regulation from 150-200 yards, a range that accounts for 48.1% of all approach shots at this course. With a 114th ranking in scrambling and ongoing issues with approach play, fantasy managers may consider fading Young at his $8,800 price tag on DraftKings. However, his strong course history suggests this could also be a prime spot for him to turn things around. Play him at your own risk.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller
