Cameron Smith Looks to Defend His Title With Jonas Blixt at the Zurich Classic
7 years agoCameron Smith and Jonas Blixt took the tournament by storm last year when they defeated Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown in a playoff to capture the title. The two teams finished at 27-under par, four shots ahead of the next closest tandem in the field. Smith, who is still looking for his first win on tour, comes into the event with five top-10 finishes on the season. Blixt, on the other hand, has missed five of his last seven cuts but might be finding a little form at the right time for their championship defense. Blixt finished T14 at the RBC Heritage two weeks ago. It will be interesting to see if the added pressure of defending the title will affect them at all, but as long as both guys can build off of the positive memories from last year, they should have themselves an exciting tournament once again. Smith and Blixt are 30/1 odds, according to Vegas, to defend their title.
