Cameron Smith is Lacking Form Coming Into Carnoustie
6 years agoCameron Smith recorded a share of 42nd place at the Scottish Open last week. Smith came into the week having missed four consecutive cuts in a row, so posting any positive result can only be viewed as a good thing, but the lack of quality in the finish still makes you think that Smith is struggling to find any consistency in his game. The young Aussie comes into the Open Championship displaying terrible statistical form. In his last 24 rounds compared to the field, he ranks 98th in strokes gained tee to green and an appalling 133rd in greens in regulation gained. Even at a cheap $6,900 price tag on DraftKings and a measly one percent projected ownership, Smith makes for an almost impossible player to trust in virtually any format.
