Cameron Smith Comes Into Hawaii Under The Radar
6 years agoCameron Smith captured the Australian PGA Championship in December but has been virtually ignored throughout the industry entering this week's Sony Open. It may have something to do with his $9,400 price tag on DraftKings --making him the eighth most expensive player, but it could also be his dwindling statistical production. In his last 50 rounds compared to the field, Smith ranks 71st in par-four scoring and 122nd in greens in regulation gained. He is a great pivot option given his low ownership projection, but the current state of his game makes him nothing more than a contrarian GPP selection.
