3 years agoCam Davis won the Rocket Mortgage last week in spectacular fashion, holing out from a bunker on the 17th hole for eagle to tie the lead, and then outlasting Joaquin Niemann and Troy Merritt in a playoff. There is often an exhale from players after such a momentous performance, but Davis still projects as a decent option at TPC Deere Run. Over his last 36 rounds, the big-hitting Australian ranks eighth in opportunities gained and sixth in birdies or better gained. He possesses the ideal skillset for a tournament where birdies are the currency.
