Cam Collier Hits 14th Home Run Wednesday
4 months agoCincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier ended his power drought on Wednesday, going 2-for-4 with his first home run in 21 games for High-A Dayton, although he did hit a home run in the All-Star Futures Game. Despite not hitting home runs, the 19-year-old has still been hitting well as of late, going 8-for-20 (.400) over his last six games. For the season, the former first-round draft pick has a .236-14-51-48-1 line in 331 at-bats. If he can finish the season strong he could see some ABs at Double-A before the year is out, but he's still likely a couple years away from the majors and a name to keep a close eye on.
