Cam Akers Is Stifled In Week 1
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers was just a few carries behind teammate Malcolm Brown, but he was far less efficient. He had 14 totes for 39 yards to go with one catch for four yards. That's an average of just 2.87 yards per touch. Even behind an offensive line like the Rams, that's just not good enough to compete for a lead-back role. Akers showed that he may have a major role in the offense moving forward, but he'll likely a backup off the bench until further notice. If you have space to stash him on your fantasy bench, that'd be the best move for now.
