Calvin Ridley Back In Action
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring), who suffered a hamstring injury on July 25, was held out of practice for more than two weeks. Ridley returned to practice last Sunday and "looked good" and caught both of his targets for 28 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Jets. "We did a good job to make sure that he was fully himself, with his strength, his quickness and his explosion. . . . It was great to have his energy back out there, too," head coach Dan Quinn said. Ridley had a very productive rookie season, catching 64 passes for 821 yards and 10 touchdowns. While reaching double-digit touchdowns again might be a tall task, Ridley could easily go over the 1,000-yard mark in an excellent offense. Take him as a strong WR2 around the fifth or sixth round of drafts.
