Cal Raleigh Hits First Home Run Of Spring Wednesday
9 months agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh blasted his first home run of the spring on Wednesday in a 9-7 Cactus League loss to the Kansas City Royals. It was a three-run shot off Royals relief pitcher Chris Stratton, and it was also his first hit of the spring. The switch-hitting backstop is now 1-for-3 with a walk, three RBI, and two runs scored in two Cactus League games. The home run came from the left side which has been his more powerful side throughout his career, with a .248 ISO as a lefty and a .170 ISO as a righty. The former third-round draft pick won't hit for a high average but with 30 HR last season and a 12.6% barrel rate, fantasy managers can count on the power numbers being there again in 2024.
