2 months agoAt his ADP this season, most fantasy managers drafted Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud to start him every week, and Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts should be no exception. He had six top-10 finishes and finished ninth overall among quarterbacks in 2023. The Texans have only added to the optimism surrounding Stroud's sophomore campaign by trading for Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon, who joins an offense that already included Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Dalton Schultz. The former No. 2 overall pick is decent but not great as a runner, but the Texans led the NFL in completed air yards/completion last season and only added more talent. Stroud will face a familiar foe against Indianapolis, a middle-of-the-pack fantasy passing defense in 2023. In two matchups last year, Stroud put up weekly QB5 and QB11 finishes against the Colts.
