C.J. Cron Out Against Giants
2 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron (hand) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the San Francisco Giants. Cron was hit in the hand by a pitch on Wednesday and is dealing with a left hand contusion, so he'll sit out for at least one game. The right-handed power hitter is batting .238 (15-for-63) with five dingers, 15 RBI and 10 runs scored in 17 games this month, so fantasy managers will be hoping he doesn't miss too many games with the regular season winding down. Rookie Michael Toglia is starting at first base on Thursday and is hitting fifth against Giants right-hander John Brebbia. Toglia will only be playing in his 19th major-league game. He's gone 15-for-66 (.227) with two homers, six doubles and 10 RBI in the early going.
