C.J. Cron Activated From Injured List
1 year agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron (back) should return to the starting lineup on Tuesday at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers after he was activated from the injured list on Monday afternoon. The 33-year-old has been out since May 15 due to back spasms. Cron will presumably slot back into the heart of the lineup for a Rockies team that desperately needs a boost offensively, having lost eight of their last 10 games and dropping to 31-49 on the season. Drafted by fantasy managers as a source of power at the first base and/or corner infield position, the cleanup man will need to quickly get back on track if he hopes to pay off his draft-day price tag. His .228/.277/.426 slash line with just six homers leaves much to be desired, and while it's tough to justify dropping a power hitter in Coors Field, it's possible fantasy managers found something better on waivers while Cron was on the shelf.
