Byron Buxton Will Begin Rehab Assignment Friday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (finger) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on Friday. He participated in live batting practice on Thursday and was cleared to start a rehab assignment. The 27-year-old slashed .369/.409/.767 with 10 home runs, 19 RBI, 21 runs scored, and five stolen bases over 110 plate appearances before landing on the injured list. Buxton has been sidelined since June 21 with a boxer's fracture in his left hand. The Twins outfielder could return to the team next week.
