3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hand) went through a workout at Target Field ahead of Monday's game against the White Sox. Buxton shagged fly balls during batting practice, took batting practice, and was running the bases. The speedy outfielder will continue to work out on the field with the team- and the club will determine if he's ready for a rehab assignment by the end of the week. Buxton remains without a timetable for return, but he has ramped up his activity considerably, which bodes well for his chances of helping fantasy managers down the stretch. In just 27 games played, Buxton has slashed .369/.409/.767 with 10 homers, 19 RBI, 21 runs scored, and five stolen bases.--Tim Capurso
