Byron Buxton Packed On Muscle During Offseason
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton bulked up during his offseason training. Buxton, who played at 200-205 pounds last year, showed up to camp at 212 pounds. The added bulk could aid the 27-year-old in his quest to duplicate last year's power numbers, in which he put up career-best marks in home run to fly ball ratio and barrel percentage while ranking in the top seven percent of the league in expected slugging percentage. Buxton has played more than 100 games just once in his six-year career, though a 20-homer, 20-steal season, albeit with a low batting average, is within the realm of possibility if he can stay on the field. That would make him a potential steal at his 115 ADP.
