Buck Showalter Earns NL Manager Of Year Award Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Mets manager Buck Showalter earned the National League Manager of the Year Award Tuesday. The award was Showalter's fourth Manager of the Year Award of his career, tying him with Tony La Russa and Bobby Cox for the most in history. He also earned the award with the New York Yankees in 1994, the Texas Rangers in 2004, and the Baltimore Orioles in 2014. Despite the Mets failing to win their division or win their Wild Card playoff series, Showalter helped the team to 101 wins in his first season and now owns the second-most wins in Major League history without a World Series title at 1,652.
