Bryson Stott In Phillies Lineup For Game 1
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Bryson Stott is in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series, batting seventh and playing shortstop. Stott has been a fixture in the Phillies lineup for most of the postseason but has seen the bench against a couple of lefties. That could be the case again in this series, with lefty Framber Valdez slated to start Game 2 Saturday. Either way, Stott should see his fair share of playing time this series, and if he does sit he could still get into the game as a pinch-hitter. The 25-year-old hasn't been on fire this postseason, but has delivered his share of clutch hits. He has slashed .200/.273/.333 with three runs and three RBI in 30 postseason at-bats. Expect to see Edmundo Sosa get into the lineup against lefties if Stott does sit out.
