Bryce Young To Re-Enter The Belly Of The Beast In Week 8
4 weeks agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is set to make his third start of the year with Andy Dalton (thumb) doubtful to play in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. Young was benched following a Week 2 thrashing by the Los Angeles Chargers, where he threw for just 84 yards and an interception. Despite notable offensive improvement under Dalton, the Panthers have lost four straight, sitting at a measly 1-6. The conditions for Young's return to life between the hashes are bleak: he'll face Denver's stout defense, which allows the fewest yards per attempt, and top receivers Adam Thielen (hamstring) and Diontae Johnson (ribs) are ruled out. Young is ranked 32nd in this week's RotoBaller quarterback rankings. It would be a successful start if the second-year QB could complete his first passing touchdown of the season.
