Bryce Harper Returns To Lineup, Ryan Zimmerman Sits
7 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is back in the leadoff spot on Thursday after taking a day off to rest and reset. He's mired in a huge slump and wasn't even used on Wednesday as a pinch hitter with the game on the line. First baseman Ryan Zimmerman is sitting and Matt Adams will cover first and bat cleanup. It's been night and day with Zimmerman and Adams. Zimmerman is carrying an OPS of .689 and has five home runs on the year. Adams, on the other hand, has been waiver wire gold. His OPS sits at 1.155 and he has seven home runs in May alone. Neither Harper nor Adams has fared particularly well against Diamondbacks starter Zack Greinke, however. Add in the humidor and it should be a hard night for all the Nationals' hitters.
