Bryce Harper Reinstated And Starting On Tuesday
4 months agoThe Philadelphia Phillies reinstated first baseman Bryce Harper (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, and he is starting at first base and batting third against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers and right-hander Bobby Miller. The Phillies put Harper on the IL as a precaution with a low-grade left-hamstring strain, but he has returned before the All-Star break next week. Fantasy managers will want to get the 31-year-old two-time MVP back into all starting lineups for the rest of the week. The eight-time All-Star is returning to a fantastic .303/.399/.582 slash line with a .981 OPS, 20 homers, 20 doubles, 58 RBI, four stolen bases and 52 runs scored in 76 games in 2024. He'll be looking for his first career hit off Miller, who he has faced just two times before Tuesday's meeting.
