Bryan Woo Picks Up Quality Start
1 year agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryan Woo earned a quality start in a no-decision versus the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Over six innings, Woo allowed three hits, two runs, two walks and struck out seven. Woo's only real blemish was a two-run homer by Blake Sabol in the fourth inning. The 23-year-old was rocked in his big-league debut against the Texas Rangers, but has since shown he belongs in the show with five starts in a row of two runs allowed or less. Overall, he has pitched to a 4.08 ERA with 39 strikeouts and eight walks in 28 2/3 innings. Woo has proven that he is worth rostering in most formats at the moment and is scheduled to face the Houston Astros this weekend in a tough matchup.
