Bryan Rust Deemed Day-To-Day
1 month agoPittsburgh Penguins forward Bryan Rust (lower body) is considered day-to-day, according to Michelle Crechiolo of Pens Inside Scoop. Crechiolo further reported that head coach Mike Sullivan said the winger is "trying to manage through it." The 32-year-old was also ruled out for Friday's preseason finale. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status through the early part of the week as he could be in danger of missing the season opener on Wednesday evening against the New York Rangers. Rust should be expected to play alongside Sidney Crosby and Drew O'Connor on the first line and the top power-play unit. If Rust were to be sidelined on Wednesday, Anthony Beauvillier and Rickard Rakell are candidates to move up to the top line.
