Browns Could Add Another Running Back
The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot believes that the Cleveland Browns will add another running back before the regular season, but it probably won't be a big-name back such as free agents Dalvin Cook or Ezekiel Elliott, and they aren't going to re-sign Kareem Hunt. If they do add another back, it will most likely be a No. 3 behind starter Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford that can serve as a solid backup in the event of an injury to either Chubb or Ford. In addition to the No. 2 role, Ford will remain the Browns' primary kickoff returner in 2023. The 23-year-old fifth-rounder in 2022 didn't have much of a role on offense in his first NFL season, and he won't be guaranteed much more in his sophomore year as long as Chubb stays healthy.
