The Minnesota Twins snagged switch-hitting shortstop Brooks Lee out of Cal Poly with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft. Lee was widely regarded as the top college hitter in this year's draft class and he was projected to be taken at least a few spots before the Twins were on the clock. Over 58 games as a junior at Cal Poly last year, Lee slashed .357/.462/.664 with 15 home runs, 55 RBI and 56 runs. He struck out just 28 times while walking 46 times. Apart from his strong track record in the NCAA, he has also been productive in the competitive Cape Cod League and as a member of the Team USA collegiate baseball squad.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerRead More News
