Broncos Want Case Keenum To Be More Aggressive
6 years agoDenver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said he wants quarterback Case Keenum to be more aggressive to close out the year. “He’s got to take more chances downfield. He would agree with that," Joseph said. Keenum has 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on the year, so he's been pretty careful with the football this year, mostly of late -- no picks in the last five games after throwing at least one interception in the first eight games. Keenum's lack of risk taking also has to do with the fact that Demaryius Thomas plays for the Texans now and Emmanuel Sanders is out with a torn Achilles. So he's down to rookie Courtland Sutton, who flopped in the No. 1 role in Week 14, rookie Daesean Hamilton and Tim Patrick. Even if Keenum gets more aggressive in the final three games, he'll be a low-ceiling QB2 for fantasy owners.
