Broncos Reach Agreement With Jeff Driskel
5 years agoThe Denver Broncos reached an undisclosed agreement with quarterback Jeff Driskel on Tuesday, according to a source. Driskel wound up playing three games for the Lions last year when Matthew Stafford (back) was lost for the season. The soon-to-be 27-year-old signal-caller was 62-for-105 (59 percent) for 685 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions for a weak QB rating of 75.3. The former sixth-round pick of the 49ers can extend plays with his legs, but he'll compete for a backup job in Denver behind Drew Lock. He could be competing against Brandon Allen if the Broncos choose to re-sign him.
