Broncos D/ST Remains Steady In Week 12 Rivalry Game
1 min agoThe Denver Broncos defense/special teams unit came into a tasty Week 12 matchup against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders as an elite option. While they didn't go off in the 29-19 win, they gave a strong performance by recording an interception, a fumble recovery and five sacks to sweep their division rivals on the season. Cornerback Brandon Jones' interception of quarterback Gardner Minshew II in the second half nearly went for six points, and the team's other turnover came on a sack and fumble from backup Desmond Ridder after a season-ending broken collarbone for Minshew. Denver's D added 10 QB hits, and they ranks second in the NFL in QB pressures on the year. They did it without standout edge rusher Zach Allen, who was inactive with a heel injury. In Week 13 against turnover-prone Browns QB Jameis Winston, the Broncos D/ST will again be a must-start in fantasy.
