6 years agoBoston Red Sox infielder Brock Holt (shoulder) received a pain-killing injection in his shoulder and is feeling much better. He's hoping to start a rehab assignment soon. The Red Sox have Michael Chavis and Eduardo Nunez as second base options, and Dustin Pedroia (knee) and Holt should return soon. That's too many bodies for one position, so something has to give there. Holt had one hit in 16 at-bats before his injury and is strictly infield depth for Boston when he's healthy. Unless more injuries occur on the infield, there just won't be much playing time to go around.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
