Brian Goodwin Hits Grand Slam In Pirates Loss Wednesday
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Brian Goodwin went 1-for-3 with a grand slam home run in a 6-5 loss to the Yankees Wednesday night. It was Goodwin's second hit of the spring as he is now 2-for-11 with five strikeouts through five games. Goodwin was thought to be one of the leading contenders for the starting job in center field entering Spring Training, but his offensive woes have put him behind most of the competition. He has the potential to be a 15 home run threat, but as of right now it's becoming less and less likely he'll get the chance to do so.
