7 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Brian Goodwin (wrist) was given the night off on Thursday and Matt Adams started in left field in his place. Goodwin will regularly start while Adam Eaton is on the disabled list, but Goodwin injured his wrist slightly on a diving play on Wednesday. It isn't serious enough to warrant a trip to the DL, however, and Goodwin is available off the bench to pinch hit. Goodwin is a former first-rounder who broke out (to less fanfare than Michael Taylor) in 2017. He occasionally leads off and can be a sneaky source of runs and steals for players in deeper leagues in the short term.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
