6 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Brian Flynn has been hampered by a sore elbow, and that likely means he'll start the season on the Injured List if he makes the roster. Flynn shined with the team in 2016, but he fell apart in 2017, like much of the Kansas City pitching staff. The hope was that he would be able to return to what was working for him in 2016, and if so, he could find himself in line to vulture some saves along the way in the fluid Royals bullpen. Instead, an elbow issue in spring training is usually a bad sign, and he can likely be dismissed from contention for the foreseeable future.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
