1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers signed free-agent left-hander Fernando Abad to a minor-league deal on Thursday. Abad began the 2023 season with the Colorado Rockies but was released after posting a 4.26 ERA (8.16 FIP), 2.21 WHIP, three walks and two strikeouts in just 6 1/3 innings out of the bullpen. The 37-year-old veteran southpaw was a bit better at Triple-A Albuquerque, sporting a 3.86 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, three saves and 32 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings over 26 relief appearances. Abad will strictly provide the Brewers with some left-handed relief depth in the minors, and he remains well off the fantasy radar for the rest of the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
