5 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers selected UCLA outfielder Garrett Mitchell with the 20th overall pick in the 2020 MLB draft on Wednesday. Mitchell is an extremely toolsy outfielder who was taken by the A's in the 14th round in 2017. Despite having issues with a leg injury last fall, the 21-year-old impressed scouts during his batting practice and was showing all of his tools this spring. Mitchell has made strides with his swing and transferred his power to games last year. Not only can he hit, but the young outfielder has plus speed, can steal bases and cover a lot of ground in center field. The downside to this first-rounder is that he's been playing with Type 1 diabetes since being diagnosed in third grade, but he remains a high-end athlete.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
