Brewers Remain Interested In Craig Kimbrel, Dallas Keuchel
6 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers remain interested in free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel and starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel. However, their interest in Kimbrel is tied to the performance and durability of reliever Jeremy Jeffress (shoulder), who hasn't yet made his season debut. Kimbrel is moving "closer" to a decision on where he will sign, but the situation remains fluid and there is no clear favorite to sign the seven-time All-Star, according to a source. Kimbrel has lowered his asking price somewhat as he remains on the open market. If Milwaukee signed Keuchel, they would likely move one of Brandon Woodruff, Freddy Peralta or Corbin Burnes to the bullpen. Milwaukee isn't comfortable using those three all year in the rotation anyway, and they are all off to rough starts. Both Kimbrel and Keuchel would be very attractive to fantasy owners if they signed with the Brewers, so keep them stashed in all formats.
