Brett Gardner Re-Signs With the Yankees
5 years agoThe New York Yankees and outfielder Brett Gardner have agreed to terms on a one-year, $12.5 million contract on Thursday. The deal includes an option for 2021 which would bring the total to $20 million. Gardner was solid in 2019, putting up 28 home runs, 74 RBI, 86 runs and adding 10 steals while posting an .829 OPS. There's no reason to believe he won't have a similar season as the regular left fielder in lefty-friendly Yankee Stadium. Gardner won't be a league-winner in fantasy, but he's a consistent bat that can be had in the later rounds.
