6 years agoThe Oakland Athletics placed starting pitcher Brett Anderson (forearm) on the disabled list on Tuesday with a left forearm strain. The southpaw was having a good year for the A's but was lit up by the Astros for five runs in 2 2/3 innings on Monday. Overall, he's 3-4 with a 4.02 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 34 strikeouts in 65 innings across 13 starts. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined, but the A's must now get creative to fill their rotation with fellow left-hander Sean Manaea going on the DL on Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
